Postponed for an even greater harvest

Dear ALL,

No, I am not going to start this so important letter with any news on the virus, but with a reminder of who we are and the calling that we have as people of God. In times like these, we are called to be a royal priesthood, standing in the gap for the people who are suffering, hurting, in desperate need and who don’t know Jesus! We are called a holy nation – holy, because He, Jesus has given us His Spirit – the Holy Spirit.

Share God’s love with an entire continent

Now, we have the amazing opportunity to share God’s love with an entire continent at once.

God doesn't treat us as we deserve but rather out of His own nature. When He speaks we will always be filled with life. He is always kind, always gracious, always loving. This is His nature. This is who He is. God is love. Love always wins. Love never fails.

Jennifer Wilde – chasing fame and finding God

For many, Hollywood is all about fame and fortune. Movie stars have everything you could dream of: millions of dollars, fast cars, luxurious homes and celebrity status. Jennifer Wilde didn’t have to dream about these: she owned them! She went from chasing fame and fortune to finding God.

Here she reflects on her journey…

When I was 19 I decided to become a model, so I moved to New York city and got accepted to the biggest modelling agency at the time. I was photographed by the top photographers and was often called ‘The Queen of Studio 54’ (the biggest disco in the world) and spent time with ‘beautiful people’: models, movie stars and rock stars.

Despite moving and working in cities like Paris and living what I thought was my dream life, I was miserable. I felt empty, with a huge spiritual hole in my heart that I tried to fill with sex, drugs, money, men and fame. But nothing helped.

Hollywood (

I thought that becoming an actress would be more fulfilling, so I moved to Hollywood to pursue that, getting roles in small and big films. I started dating big movie stars, hanging out with the biggest names in the industry. Everyone did drugs and partied all the time, flying around the world in jets. But even that didn’t make me happy. I was still sad even though I had everything I wanted. I felt empty inside. Lost. Sad. Lonely.

One night as I was leaving a party, all messed up from drugs and alcohol, a friend threw a piece of paper at me and said sarcastically “Here – maybe this will do you some good!” I didn’t think much of it at the time but I picked it up and stuck it in my pocket. It turned out to be the gospel of Jesus. I’ll never forget it – it changed my life.

I read the little booklet. It talked about God; told me that sin separates us from God, that when we die we all will go to one of two places, heaven or hell and it is our choice where we will spend eternity. It is through a relationship with Jesus that gets us to heaven, not a religion. He died once and for all, for every single one of us, on the cross – for our sins. All we must do is be sorry for all the bad things we’ve done in our life (repent of our sins) and believe that Jesus is God, died on the cross for our sins, rose again, and then follow Him.

At that moment, everything changed and something wonderful happened inside of me. I was growing closer to God every day. He made it spectacular, filled me with love, joy and peace. Since then He has always been with me, leading me, guiding me and using me for his glory!

Now I’m no longer living a life centered around myself, chasing fame and money. Now I travel to villages in Africa and many places of need around the world – helping the poor, preaching the Good News of Jesus’s love, seeing sick people healed and hundreds of thousands of lives saved through the powerful love of God.

How to find Jesus?

When Jennifer met Jesus, He changed her life. Everything about Jesus is extraordinary. His birth, His life, His death and His resurrection.  He was the only person who lived a perfect life. God performed the greatest act of love that mankind has ever seen. Jesus died for our sins so that we can be forgiven, have peace and live with God in heaven for eternity.

Jesus is alive, and He lives forever. He is the only way to God and to heaven. The choice is yours. Jesus wants to forgive your sins and give you eternal life. If you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, pray this prayer now:

‘Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. I believe that you died for my sins.
Please forgive me and come into my heart.
I believe that you rose from the dead and that you are here right now.
Come and be my Lord and Saviour.
Thank you that I’ll be in
heaven for eternity
instead of hell.
I want to follow you.

These are the important basics of a Christian Life:

  1. Love God – Love and forgive everyone, even your enemies
  2. Prayer – Talk to God and build a relationship with Jesus
  3. Bible – Read God’s Word, to learn about God and His ways
  4. Church – Meet and build friendships with other Christians
  5. Share – Share the gospel and your experiences with others
